This policy explains how GroupSpark handles information when teachers, facilitators, and organizers use the website. GroupSpark does not require an account and does not ask students to create profiles.

Lists and tool inputs

Names, tasks, and other text entered into a GroupSpark tool are processed in the browser on the device being used. GroupSpark does not send those lists to a GroupSpark application database. Do not enter sensitive information that is not needed for the activity.

Local browser storage

Some tools may save a recent list or a local preference in the browser’s local storage. This information remains on that browser until it is cleared by the user or removed through browser settings. Clearing site data for GroupSpark removes this locally saved information.

Hosting, security, and basic analytics

Like most websites, GroupSpark’s hosting, content-delivery, security, and analytics providers may process basic request information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested page, approximate region, referral source, and request time. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, understand aggregate usage, and maintain reliability. It is not intended to include the names pasted into GroupSpark tools.

Cookies and advertising

GroupSpark uses Google AdSense to support free access to its tools. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies based on your previous visits to GroupSpark or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to show advertisements based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

The site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, and this policy does not apply after leaving GroupSpark.

Your choices

You can use the main tools without creating an account. You may clear locally stored lists through the tool or browser settings, block or delete browser cookies, and use browser privacy controls. Some site or advertising features may work differently when cookies are blocked.
